Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is currently the biggest movie of the year. That’s an impressive feat given that it has received some stiff competition from the likes of The Batman, Top Gun: Maverick and Jurassic World Dominion. But the Marvel Cinematic Universe spectacle reigns supreme.

Benedict Cumberbatch returned in his second starring role as the titular Master of the Mystic Arts (and seventh overall MCU appearance as the character) and he was joined by Strange returnees Benedict Wong and Chiwetel Ejiofor. Fresh off her Emmy-nominated performance as Wanda Maximoff in WandaVision, Elizabeth Olsen reprised her role as the MCU’s Scarlet Witch in another acclaimed performance, while Xochitl Gomez also received praise for her breakout performance as America Chavez.

The Sam Raimi-directed flick had the world talking throughout much of this year, and it’s set to do it all again, as it will make its streaming debut on Disney Plus today, June 22.
