Superman and Lois has been entertaining fans for the first half of the year. Returning to screens back in January, it has sporadically aired new episodes of its second season as the Man of Steel and Lois Lane faced off against new threats in Smallville. However, the show is set to wrap up its most recent chapter in next week’s season finale.

Season 2 has seen the rise of cult leader Ally Allston, who has manipulated her followers into the belief that they can become whole by merging with their Inverse selves – a.k.a. doppelgangers from Bizarro World. Among those followers was Lucy Lane, the sister of Lois and daughter of General Sam Lane, making this threat so much more personal for the heroes.

As the season heads towards what is sure to be an epic conclusion, you can bet viewers are excited to see where the story goes next. If you’re too excited to wait, The CW has released a brand new trailer for the fifteenth episode.

The season finale, titled “Waiting For Superman”, will see Chrissy Beppo alert the town of Smallville that Ally Allston’s plan to merge both Earth-Prime and the Inverse World is indeed happening.

No doubt there will be some major fallout from the penultimate episode as the Man of Steel and the rest of his family attempt to take Ally down before it’s too late.

Elsewhere, the finale will also feature the return of Arrowverse legend David Ramsey, who reprises his role as John Diggle in an appearance that is set to pave the way for the season 3 villain. Will this finally tie the show to The Flash, Supergirl and the wider Arrowverse?
