Is Kate Walsh in The Umbrella Academy season 3? (Spoilers)

Across the first two seasons of The Umbrella Academy, Kate Walsh was the thorn in the side of Number Five and company as The Handler, a high-ranking and major influencer of The Commission.

While The Handler always seemed to be one step ahead of Five, her luck finally ran out in season 2 when she was fatally shot by the last remaining Swede to get revenge for his brother’s deaths which had come at her hand.

Given The Handler managed to come back from the dead in season 1, her fate looked much grimmer in season 2 which has led many to question whether we’ve seen the last of Walsh’s scene-stealing foil or if she might return for season 3.

Did Kate Walsh leave The Umbrella Academy?

Sadly, it looks like we’ve seen the last of The Handler as Kate Walsh does not return for The Umbrella Academy season 3 and has gone on the record as stating she has no current plans to come back to the series.

While Walsh does not appear on-screen as The Handler in season 3, Walsh did return for an off-screen role in which she lent her voice for a voiceover moment in episode 7 when Lila finds a letter from her mother hidden away in a time-traveling briefcase.

Given this is The Umbrella Academy we’re talking about, it’s always possible Walsh could return in the future so we’ll have to wait to see if The Handler pops up again in season 4.
