Does A-Train die in The Boys season 3?

In episode 5, A-Train set his sights on putting an end to Blue Hawk’s abuse of power against innocent Black citizens in the community he’s been patrolling. After landing a face-to-face with Blue Hawk at the expense of Supersonic, A-Train insists on Blue Hawk apologizing to the community. He agrees, but when Blue Hawk is confronted by the citizens regarding his actions and lackluster apology, his rage takes over and he attacks those in attendance — including A-Train’s older brother,  who is crippled in the fight.

After Soldier Boy’s attack in the episode, A-Train confronts Blue Hawk outside as he attempts to flee the scene and A-Train finally snaps.

Knowing Blue Hawk is just going to get away with hurting all of those people, including his brother, A-Train decides to take matters into his own hands. Grabbing Blue Hawk by the neck, A-Train slams him to the ground before grabbing him by the leg and zooming off.

After killing Blue Hawk using his super speed, A-Train’s heart begins to race as it’s made evident he’s pushed himself too hard. Soon, he begins to stumble to the ground holding his chest as we hear his heartbeat racing before coming to a sudden stop. At that moment, A-Train collapses on the pavement and appears to stop breathing — having exhausted his heart.

As the camera pans out, A-Train appears to be lying dead in the middle of the road next to what’s left of Blue Hawk’s remains. While it’s possible the moment could be a fake-out death, it appears A-Train’s time on The Boys might have finally come to an end.

The Boys is streaming now on Amazon Prime. New episodes of season 3 are released every Friday.
