The Boys season 3’s “Herogasm” episode was shocking. It may not have adapted all of the insane moments from the comic book but it was still jaw-dropping and very, very creative. Everything, including a superhero Crème Sûplée was seen. All in all, it was as good as it could get without The Boys turning into a rated X episode.
Beyond Herogasm, there was a fantastic story. One that will be difficult to top. The most memorable moment was the final fight scene. Soldier Boy and Homelander fought one-on-one. That led to Homelander fighting against Soldier Boy, Butcher, and Hughie on his own. For the first time, Homelander was at a disadvantage. Knowing he was about to lose, he flew away.
The biggest thing to happen was Starlight (who told the world her real name is Annie January) exposing Homelander after the aftermath of Herogasm. She went live on social media and told the world that most superheroes are not who they portray themselves to be. She also said that Homelander is the worst of them all.
There are going to be repercussions to this. It won’t just be Homelander and his obsessed fans coming after Annie January. Vought International won’t be happy that their most popular hero and leader of the Seven was exposed by one of their own. This will directly affect Marvin Milk too. His ex-wife’s boyfriend loves Homelander. He will likely have some choice words about what Annie said.
