The Boys season 3 episode 7 spoilers: What did Kamiko say to Starlight?

Season 3 of The Boys has been quite the rollercoaster ride for Kamiko, and that’s an understatement.

After coming face to face with Soldier Boy earlier this season, Kamiko has found herself in unfamiliar territory. During their encounter, Kamiko somehow lost her superhuman abilities leaving her (and in turn, those she loves) vulnerable.

Following the attack, Kamiko has been slowly recovering and even seemed thrilled about finally being normal as she’s come to grips with her situation. However, the events of episode 6 changed things dramatically after she found herself feeling helpless when Frenchie was taken by Little Nina’s men.

While Kamiko was able to help save him in the end, the brush with death changed her stance on giving up her powers for good — a thread that comes into play during episode 7 which finds her turning to Starlight for a major favor.

What did Kamiko say to Starlight in The Boys season 3 episode 7?

After nearly losing Frenchie, Kamiko comes to the decision in episode 7 that she wants to get her powers back using V. However, in order to do so, she’ll need Starlight’s help breaking into Vought’s lab.

It’s a risky move and one that Starlight struggles with knowing she put Vought and Homelander on blast in the previous episode, revealing the secrets they had been hiding. Starlight tries to talk her out of it, which is when Kamiko asks her to read a message she’s written on her phone. The message is enough to convince Starlight to proceed with the plan, but what exactly was said in the message?

At first, the message is not made clear to viewers. However, when Kamiko tells Frenchie her plan, we finally discover what she told Starlight:

"“Annie, I know I’m asking a lot. At first, I hated the V because I didn’t choose it, but now it’s my choice. I think that matters. I blame my powers for my problems, but it’s not true. The V isn’t good or bad, it just depended on the person using it. I wanted to use my powers to do good. To fight for the ones I love. I almost lost Frenchie because I couldn’t fight. I can’t risk that again.”"
