6. Queen Maeve captured

Fans didn’t know where Black Noir and Homelander took Queen Maeve. All they knew is that she was gone. We find out that Homelander is keeping her alive and trapped in a room. He didn’t kill her because he’s harvesting her eggs. He’s going to use those eggs and inseminate them to create supes with their combined DNA.

No matter what, The Boys continues to show how depraved supes can be. This is easily one of the most disgusting things in the series. It’s a violation that won’t be forgiven. Hopefully Maeve gets revenge.

5. Black Noir’s past

Black Noir’s past is a mystery. After Grace Mallory told the story of Soldier Boy’s capture, viewers still didn’t know the entire story. Episode 7 showed that Soldier Boy abused Black Noir and even sabotaged him from having an acting career. After Payback saw this, they agreed to help the Russians take Soldier Boy away. Not before Soldier Boy nearly killed Black Noir with his shield. It wasn’t the blast that did it. How did viewers find this out? From the cartoon characters Black Noir sees re-enacting the past.

This wasn’t the first time Black Noir saw them. The cartoon characters are mascots from a restaurant from his childhood. It was where he went after leaving Vought International’s tower in “Herogasm”. They appeared whenever he had a traumatic moment. All the way from when he was a young boy. Something tells this writer that we’ll see them one more time in the season 3 finale.
