According to Immortal X-Men, Mr. Sinister may become the thing that destroys Krakoa.

The Mutants of Krakoa have been living their best lives since they were given their own mutant country. While most mutants are having a grand time, there’s a lot going on that they aren’t privy to. That’s where the Quiet Council of Krakoa comes in.

Within the Council are twelve members, with four tables, and each table having three members. Charles Xavier, Hope Summers, and Destiny sit at the Autumn table. The Summer table consists of Storm, Nightcrawler, and Colossus. Spring is the Hellfire Trading Company members Emma Frost (the White Queen) Kate Pryde (the Red Queen), and Sebastian Shaw (The Black King). Lastly, Winter is Mystique, Mr. Sinister, and Exodus. Together, each of the Council members make the hard decisions behind the scenes.

Immortal X-Men, written by Kieron Gillen, has shown a lot of the politics that go on, also giving us a glimpse of other perspectives such as Nathaniel Essex a.k.a. Mr. Sinister to showcase how he’s been planning something sinister (pun intended).

In Immortal X-Men No. 3, the story is narrated by Irene Adler. She tells how Moira and Orchis aren’t the most dangerous things coming for mutants and Krakoa.

The X-Men’s Future

While the Quiet Council argues about Mystique tricking them into bringing Destiny back, Destiny has visions of the future. Some of them are happening right now. Among them are The Spark Inquisition, Judgment Day, Krakoa Dissolution, Nimrod Extinction Event, Cassandra Supernova, The Reign of (Krakoan language that’s illegible), Legion XII, and Catincle of Talia. Of those events, two of them lead off into others. One of them directly leads to Mr. Sinister becoming a Gene Corsair.

Destiny’s vision shows Sinister flying a spaceship lined with cloned meat. He’s captured by a giant and cosmic and god-like Exodus. It ends with Exodus eating Sinister. Of course, Essex doesn’t go down quietly. He says that he will be back and without him, “you’re all gone.” The “you” is probably mutants.

Whatever happens here, seems directly tied around Mr. Sinister. Especially The Empire Red of the Diamond (another possible outcome seen by Destiny). Sinister has been taking the DNA of mutants longer than anyone knows. Recently, he took Moira’s. With her mutant DNA, Sinister can see possible futures. A gift that’s served him well. The only thing standing in his way is Destiny. Hopefully, the Quiet Council will trust her enough to see the plans through.
