Is there nudity in Thor: Love and Thunder? (Spoilers)

The Thor: Love and Thunder trailer seemed to suggest the film could become the first Marvel movie to feature nudity, but was there actual nudity in the film?

From the moment the first trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder dropped, audiences couldn’t help but draw their eyes away from a certain scene featuring Chris Hemsworth’s God of Thunder, Zeus and the flick heard around the world.

For those who by some random chance haven’t seen the trailer we’re referring to, allow us to provide some background information.

In the scene in question, Zeus uses his powers to restrain Thor, who is rocking a disguise in the form of a vibrant cloak, as he questions his motives for crashing his gathering. Looking to identify who is under the disguise, Zeus uses his abilities to flick the cloak off of Thor… the only problem is he flicks too hard and ends up stripping away all of Thor’s clothes — much to the pleasure of Jane and Valkyrie.

After his clothes are ripped away, Thor yells that Zeus flicked too hard as the camera pans to his behind which is when we see a fully naked Thor from the backside with the trailer blurring out his butt. It’s a moment that quickly got audiences talking and had many wondering how far Marvel took things in Thor: Love and Thunder. 

Does Chris Hemsworth have a nude scene in Thor: Love and Thunder?

Surprisingly, Chris Hemsworth does indeed have a nude scene in Thor: Love and Thunder which marked a first for Marvel as the studio has previously never included a nude scene in a Marvel Cinematic Universe film before.

While Love and Thunder does include a nude scene, the scene in question only features partial nudity and does not include full-frontal nudity of any kind. The only nudity that is included in the film is an uncensored version of the scene featured in the trailer which shows Hemsworth naked from the backside, which does include a shot of his bare behind.
