4. Korg (momentarily)
Okay, okay, Korg didn’t actually die in Thor: Love and Thunder, but for a hot minute it really looked like he did. Struck down by Thunderbolt, every rock in his body became unstuck and crumbled, resulting in him becoming a mound of rocks. Thankfully, we soon discovered that all he needed to survive was his head/face, which remained perfectly intact.
By the end of the movie, Korg had found himself a new body, a new man and was on his way to getting a new baby Korg. And that’s enough to make us forget that this almost-heartbreaking moment ever happened. Good for you, Korg!
3. Gorr’s daughter Love
Thor: Love and Thunder opened with an emotionally heavy scene that left audiences feeling heartache right out of the gate.
Before he was a god-hunting villain, Gorr was just a man trying to save his daughter from a desert wasteland. Praying desperately for someone to answer his prayers, he soon realized that the gods would not come, and tragically had to watch his little girl die.
It was a heart-wrenching moment that highlighted how far grief would push him.
