Thor 4: Yes, India Rose Hemsworth plays [Spoiler] in Thor: Love and Thunder

Thor: Love and Thunder turned out to be a family affair for the Hemsworth family with Chris Hemsworth’s daughter India Rose Hemsworth playing a major role in the film. 

Chris Hemsworth has been part of the Marvel family for more than a decade now, so it seems only fitting that the actor’s latest turn as the God of Thunder in Thor: Love and Thunder became a true family affair on-screen!

When the film’s first trailer was released, it was teased that Hemsworth’s sons would be making their Marvel debut as young Thor. Hemsworth would later confirm that his twins would both appear in the film playing a young Thor, but that’s not where the family ties end.

Thor: Love and Thunder not only features an appearance by Hemsworth’s twin boys, but it also features the acting debut of his daughter — who has quite a significant role in the film.

Gorr the Butcher daughter is played by India Rose Hemsworth

The role of Gorr’s daughter, Love, in Thor: Love and Thunder is played by Chris Hemsworth’s daughter, India Rose Hemsworth.

We’re first introduced to the character in the opening scene of the film, as we see Gorr and his daughter stumbling through a desert-like environment with no signs of life, water or food anywhere to be seen. As a religious man, Gorr prays to the gods in hopes that they’ll help to bring the food and water needed for his daughter to survive.

Sadly, Gorr’s prayers are unanswered and his daughter dies which is what sets him down the path of becoming Gorr the Butcher. After her death, he stumbles upon a sanctuary where he finds the god he had been praying to feasting without a concern in the world. When he confronts the god, he mocks Gorr’s faith which leads him to take on the Necrosword and become Gorr, Butcher of Gods.

While Gorr’s daughter dies in the opening moment, the character is later brought back to life after Gorr makes it to Eternity and chooses to use his wish to bring his daughter back rather than destroy all gods. After Gorr uses his wish to bring her back, he gets to enjoy one final moment with her before he dies.

Following his death, Love is taken in by Thor seeming to hint the character will have a bigger role in a potential fifth Thor movie.
