When is Thor: Love and Thunder coming to Disney Plus?

Many people are excited to see Thor: Love and Thunder in theaters, but those waiting to see it at home are probably wondering when it will be on Disney+?

There are so many suitable reasons to get excited about Thor: Love and Thunder. Whether it’s the return of Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster as the new Mighty Thor wielding Mjolnir or the fact that Academy Award-winner Christian Bale is playing the villain Gorr The God Butcher, there is no shortage of justifications needed to check out the Taika Waititi-directed feature.

The Academy Award winner also penned the screenplay and will reprise his role as the fan-favorite Korg, the failed revolution starter that is now Thor’s best friend. Chris Hemsworth, of course, is back as the titular hero who will unite his friends to stop Gorr from destroying all the gods. Also, in the film, fans will see the return of Jaimie Alexander’s Lady Sif, Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie, and the Guardians of the Galaxy.

Everyone is aware that they will be able to find Thor: Love and Thunder on Disney+ eventually. The question is, when will that momentous occasion take place?

When will Thor: Love and Thunder be on Disney Plus?

Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness had the shortest window between theatrical release and Disney+ premiere. The time frame for the supernatural sequel was 47 days. Eternals came in at 68 days, and Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings made its way to steaming after 70 days.

If Thor: Love and Thunder were to follow a similar path to Doctor Strange 2, it would be available for Disney+ subscribers towards the end of August, with August 24, 2022, likely being a possibility. But nothing has been officially announced, so it’s anyone’s guess at this point.

While it likely won’t take longer than 70 days to make its way to the streamer, it will at some point in the future, join the impressive Marvel Cinematic Universe lineup that also features Thor: Ragnarok, The Avengers, and Avengers: Endgame which each also stars Hemsworth’s character.
