Does Black Noir die in The Boys season 3? (Spoilers)

The Boys season 3 featured a number of deaths, but was Black Noir among the heroes who perished during the season, or is Black Noir still alive?

The Boys season 3 came to a close on July 8 in what was a spectacular and bloody closing hour of Prime Video’s Emmy-nominated series.

Heading into the final episode of the season, we knew we were in store for an epic battle as Soldier Boy looked to complete his mission before fulfilling his promise to Billy and helping to take down Homelander. We also knew there was likely to be more bloodshed before the season came to an end, the only mystery was surrounding which characters might not make it out of the season 3 finale alive.

While the final battle of the season resulted in a few major fakeout deaths — similar to the route taken with A-Train this season — the fate of one particular member of The Seven was called into question before the final battle even began.

Is Black Noir dead? (Does Black Noir die in The Boys?)

With Solider Boy set on taking out all of his former teammates, the odds were stacked against Black Noir heading into the season 3 finale and fans understandably feared his death coming at the hands of Solider Boy. Perhaps that’s why it was so surprising that the true threat to Noir ended up being Homelander!

After working through the demons of his past with help from his animated pals, Black Noir made his way back to Vought Headquarters where he warns Homelander of the need to kill Soldier Boy.

While it at first looks like Homelander will stand by his long-time teammate, he pulls off the ultimate betrayal and literally guts Black Noir by smashing his hand through his chest and pulling out his intestines. Once Homelander leaves, Noir once again sees his animated pals who comfort him as he seems to take his last breath as they fade into the darkness.

It’s possible that this could be another fake-out death; however, all signs point towards Black Noir having actually died at the hands of Homelander.
