6. Homelander kills Black Noir

This writer thought it was going to be Homelander and Black Noir versus Soldier Boy and Billy Butcher. The four were supposed to have a battle that would shake the world. That idea was destroyed by Homelander when he killed Black Noir.

Homelander hated that Noir didn’t tell him he had a father out there.  This writer was shocked that Black Noir was killed. He thought that he was too entertaining to not make it. Well, he was wrong.

It makes sense for Homelander, though. He’s impulsive and emotionally unstable. This won’t be the last time he does something like this. In fact, Homelander makes another rash move at the end of the episode (it’ll be mentioned in the final section).

5. The Boys vs Soldier Boy

After Soldier Boy puts Ryan in danger, Butcher has to make a decision: Does he protect his dead wife’s son from Soldier Boy or fight Homelander with Maeve? Butcher chose to fight Soldier Boy. At that moment, Butcher knew that Soldier Boy was more dangerous than Homelander.

Try as he might, Butcher couldn’t beat him. He’s lucky Annie January and Mother’s Milk showed up. Without them, Butcher would have been killed. However, even their might wasn’t enough. Soldier Boy is close to Homelander’s power level and is a better fighter. Just like in the season 2 finale, Maeve came in and saved the day.
