Thor: Love and Thunder streaming release date: When could the movie hit Disney+?

It’s hard to believe it’s been three years since we last saw Chris Hemsworth suit up as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but the wait for the God of Thunder’s return finally came to an end this July when Thor returned to the big screen for his fourth standalone Marvel Cinematic Universe feature.

In the highly anticipated new film, Thor partners up with King Valkyrie, Korg and ex-girlfriend-turned-Mighty-Thor Jane Foster to take on a galactic killer known as Gorr the God Butcher, who seeks the extinction of the gods.

Since July 8, fans have been able to head out to theaters to enjoy the film; however, fans hoping to catch the movie on Disney Plus are in for a slightly longer wait.

Possible Thor: Love and Thunder streaming release date

Although Disney+ has not yet confirmed the streaming release date for Thor: Love and Thunder, it’s highly likely we could see the film arrive on Disney Plus as early as this August should Disney choose to follow a similar release plan for the film.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness arrived in theaters 46 days after opening in theaters. If this same window of time is followed for Thor: Love and Thunder, we’d be looking at Tuesday, Aug. 23. However, when you consider Disney tends to release new titles on Wednesday, it seems likely Disney will delay the film’s return by a day leading to the release of Thor: Love and Thunder on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022.

Of course, we’ll have to wait until Disney confirms the film’s official release date but a late August debut is looking highly likely for Thor: Love and Thunder.
