Thor: Love and Thunder: 5 questions fans need answered
By Mark Lynch
2. Will anyone top Bale’s Gorr?
Christian Bale is one of the greatest actors in the world. When he was cast to play Gorr, this writer knew he’d be good. He didn’t think he’d be this great. Bale truly put everything he had into this role. As of now, no actor playing an antagonist in the MCU has put on a performance like this, even with the lack of screen time he was given. He was so good that we just can’t see anyone being as good as him for a long time.
She-Hulk, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania are among the next projects coming up. We are expecting big things from Jonathan Majors – who will be playing Kang – as the next big villain. He was fantastic in the short time he was in Loki. But will he best Gorr so soon. Give him time. It’s highly possible that Major’s Kang will be the next great villain.
1. Hercules vs Thor?
Thor lost faith in the gods after Zeus and the other deities refused to help him, Valkyrie, Korg, and Jane Foster (Mighty Thor) fight Gorr. When Zeus tried to kill Thor with his lightning bolt, the God of Thunder caught it and used it against the God of Lightning. It seemed like Zeus was dead. Not only was he actually alive, he held a grudge. Zeus is sending his son Hercules after the god who hurt him.
The obvious thing would be that Thor and Zeus will have this major battle. Sure, they’re going to fight, but Herc may not be the main antagonist. The two gods have a rivalry, but Hercules is a hero, right? He’ll quickly learn that Zeus deserved what he got. Could that result in Zeus sending his other son? Perhaps the next Thor movie will be Thor, Love, and Hercules fighting Ares: The God of War.
