Ms. Marvel has aired six episodes in its first season, but will the Marvel show return for a second season?

It’s been a long time coming for Ms. Marvel. The Marvel Cinematic Universe series has been on the minds of MCU fans since Disney Plus began producing shows set within that shared universe, but its release date kept getting pushed.

But a move from fall 2021 to summer 2022 didn’t prevent Ms. Marvel from finding immediate success. The show garnered praise from fans and critics, quickly achieving a 98% rating on Rotten Tomatoes – making it the highest-scoring of all the Marvel shows on the site.

The six-episode season showcased Kamala Khan’s journey from Captain Marvel superfan to fully-fledged superhero in her own right, detailing how the discovery of an ancient bangle unlocked her powers and revealed the truth about who she is.

That season has come to an end with an epic finale allowing it to bow out in memorable fashion, but will there be a seventh episode in the form of a second season?

Will there be an episode 7 of Ms. Marvel?

As of now, Ms. Marvel‘s future is uncertain. Though the show has been yet another huge success for Disney Plus and Marvel Studios, the majority of these shows are miniseries, meaning that second seasons don’t always happen. And that usually results in some uncertainty among the fans after their runs conclude, as Marvel remains ambiguous about where the characters will appear next.

Regardless of whether Ms. Marvel season 2 happens, we do know where we will meet Kamala Khan next. Iman Vellani will reprise the role in upcoming film The Marvels, where Ms. Marvel will meet her hero Carol Danvers, a.k.a. Captain Marvel (Brie Larson).

The film is released on July 28, 2023, and will also star Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury.
