Marvel Studios announced the upcoming projects for phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and fans are in for some amazing Marvel Phase 5 shows and movies.

When it was time for Marvel Studios to step up to the plate at the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con, everyone in attendance was ready. People who weren’t were glued to social media (this writer included).

A new She-Hulk trailer was shown and it looked great. Then, they unleashed an emotional trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The latter would have been enough to satiate some fans., especially with clips of Namor and the Atlanteans. But Marvel wasn’t done. They unleashed the future of Phase 5 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and it looks absolutely amazing.

Marvel Phase 5 movies and shows

There are 12 titles in total coming in Phase 5. First, there’s the third Ant-Man project, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Next up is Secret Invasion coming up in the spring. During and after this, fans won’t know who to trust. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will begin the summer blockbuster season with James Gunn’s final Guardians of the Galaxy project coming on May 5.

After Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, the summer officially begins. Echo, starring Alaqua Cox as Maya Lopez/Echo, will start things off as the first Disney Plus show of the summer. That will be followed by the highly anticipated season 2 of Loki. This is where the multiverse will start to get weirder. The first movie following those to show is The Marvels (July 28). Look for more mutant stuff to happen in this.

In the fall, two projects will come out. Blade (starring Academy Award winner Mahershala Ali) and Ironheart (Dominique Thorne from the highly regarded and rated Judas and the Black Messiah). Blade is set for Nov. 3, while Ironheart will bow in fall 2023.

After WandaVision, everyone loved Agatha Harkness. So much so that she was given a show called Agatha: Coven of Chaos. As of now, the series is slated for Winter 2023.

Movies and shows of 2024

The first official project of 2024 is where fans lost their minds. The rumors were found to be true. Daredevil is returning to the MCU in Daredevil: Born Again, an 18-episode series! Plus, he’ll also appear before that in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.

Last, but certainly not least, there are two projects that are likely to be connected. Captain America: New World Order (May 3) and Thunderbolts (July 26). If this writer had to guess, the New World will have Baron Zemo as the villain. This will lead to him being the leader of the Thunderbolts. With this will come major changes to the dynamic of the Avengers and the end of Phase 5.
