8. Batman

Weakness: His family

Everyone says Batman has a plan for everything. This is partly true. The Dark Knight does his best to find a way to defeat everyone. That’s including the entire Justice League (read JLA: Tower of Babel for more on that). His villains know how true this is. They also know that the way to get to Batman is through his family.

Bane and Joker have recently used the Bat-Family to get to and defeat their nemesis. At the very least, they torture them to make him pay. In City of Bane, Bane killed Alfred in front of Damian Wayne. During Joker War, the Clown Prince of Crime tricked a brainwashed Dick Grayson into serving him. These are only two examples of how Batman’s family can be a curse at times.

7. Wolverine

Weakness: Open water

Wolverine’s healing factor can bring him back from the brink of death and beyond. He’s been shot, burned, jumped out the S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarrier, and literally been to Hell and back. He’s beaten hordes of ninjas on his own, Satan, and the Angel of Death. As invincible as he seems to be, there’s one thing that scares him. Logan is terrified of open water.

During Wolverine: Weapon X, Logan explained that drowning is the one thing that can kill him. This was confirmed during Rick Remender’s Uncanny X-Force. In this series, Logan killed his son (Daken) by drowning him in a puddle. It’s amazing that despite everything Logan’s endured, he could be killed in a bathtub.
