6 DC characters who benefit from Batgirl’s cancelation
Batman
Flashpoint can bring Matt Reeves Batman to the forefront. There’s an easy way to insert Robert Pattinson into the main universe without undoing what Reeves has done or plans to do.
Warner Discovery should give Reeves’ Dark Knight his own universe, starting with a sequel. Right now, we have a young inexperienced hero, but we could see Pattinson’s Batman do something we haven’t seen before — take care of a child. Dick Grayson deserves to have his story told on the big screen the right way.
Reeves can introduce a 9-12-year-old Grayson into Bruce Wayne’s (Robert Pattinson) life. It’s illogical that Bruce would take in a kid, but he sees himself in Dick, a boy who lost his parents to murder. Fans expect the Court of Owls to play a role in Reeves’ trilogy, Grayson can too. Reeves can retcon Dick’s parent’s death by tying the killer to the Court of Owls. We could see Grayson change from the innocent child to the hero we know as Robin and eventually Nightwing.
When it’s all said and done, we’d see a Bruce Wayne, who evolved as a character into the mythical and mysterious hero of Gotham, and more. By the time he joins the Justice League, he would have his Batman universe established, then we can get a Batgirl film.
