X-Men in the MCU: Dark Beast (Henry Philip McCoy)

With the announcement of Secret Wars, there are a whole bunch of possibilities that Marvel would tap into. The introduction of the Multiverse has added to that speculation and creates a lot of content that could be coming. One opportunity could be alternate versions of the same character. We saw this a bit with Mordo in Multiverse of Madness and with the Multiverse Saga in full force, this is Marvel’s opportunity to tap into these types of characters.

Dark Beast is exactly what it sounds like. An alternate universe version of Beast that has a dark mentality due to the absence of Professor X in his life. Instead, he joins Apocalypse and essentially becomes an evil version of what we know from the character.

Having X-Men from different universes could be an easy way to give hints in the coming movies before fully unveiling the X-Men in the MCU. Different adaptations that we wouldn’t see in the MCU could be shown, giving a bit of fan service in more ways than one.

The genius of Henry McCoy is already unmatched, but seeing it used for different reasons could be intriguing. It wouldn’t have to mean anything in the long run of the MCU but would be an interesting spin on a beloved character.
