Marvel: There’s a method to what seems to be the MCU’s madness
By Mark Lynch
People may think that the Marvel Cinematic Universe is all over the place, there’s a reason for everything that’s been coming out in Phase 4.
Marvel Studios fans are finding out that everything isn’t going to be perfect. While Phases 1-3 had some bumps in the road, overall, it’s looked at as close to flawless. A lot of it had to do with continuity. Each of the movies and shows had a connection to something else coming up.
This meant that you’d miss something in the next project if you didn’t see the previous one. It may have become expensive and time-consuming, but it was worth it in the end. Avengers: Endgame was more than a movie. It was the culmination of eleven years of movies and it was worth the money and time spent.
Phase 4 started with a bit of a bump. The world was caught in a pandemic that slowed down and sometimes halted the production of Marvel films and movies. When things got back to normal, WandaVision started Phase 4. During the San Diego Comic-Con, it was announced that it would end with Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. To many, everything in between seemed jumbled because a lot wasn’t connected like the rest of it. Where some people saw a mess, this writer is admiring a beautiful strategy.
