I Am Groot part 2 release updates: When do the next shorts come out?
I Am Groot will return for another sequence of shorts in the future, but when can Marvel fans expect them to air on Disney Plus?
Groot is one of the most popular characters in not just the Guardians of the Galaxy but the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe. The beloved creature of just few words has found his way into the hearts and minds of so many MCU fans with those exact words, and now they have become the title of his own standalone series of shorts on Disney Plus.
An offshoot of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, I Am Groot sees Baby Groot learn more about himself and the universe that he is growing up in, with him coming into contact with some other intriguing species along the way.
The show premiered with its first five shorts on August 10, but a recent development confirmed that they won’t be the only time we’ll catch up with Baby Groot. Will there be more installments? In a word: Yes.
I Am Groot part 2 release date predictions
During the Marvel Studios Animation Panel at San Diego Comic-Con, it was confirmed that I Am Groot would return for another set of five shorts in the future. As fans anticipate the return of the show, there are a number of factors to take into consideration, specifically if the shorts have been produced yet.
If they have been produced, the earliest we could expect them would probably be later this year. After all, once She-Hulk: Attorney At Law wraps its run in October, there won’t be another Marvel Studios show to take its place on Disney Plus outside of two upcoming occasion-themed specials. And speaking of specials, one of those is The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, which Groot will be a part of.
With that in mind, don’t be too surprised if the second five I Am Groot shorts debut before the end of 2022. Of course, that’s just a prediction. It’s best to wait for official confirmation from Marvel Studios.
