DC’s Stargirl season 3 is coming to The CW this month and the official promo stills have been released for the premiere, “Frenemies – Chapter One: The Murder”. Check them out, along with the synopsis and trailer for the season.

It isn’t long until Stargirl returns to screens. The beloved DC Comics series makes a comeback to The CW for the first time in almost a year to kick off its third season later this month, and to say fans are excited would be an understatement.

The third season was initially expected in the early-mid summer, but due to the fact that The CW infamously cancelled half of its slate of programming, the already-completed third season of Stargirl was held to fill out the 2022 – 2023 fall schedule.

The CW released the trailer for DC’s Stargirl just over a month ago. It originally premiered during a Stargirl convention with fans before it was released online the following evening. You can watch it below:

Stargirl season 3 episode 1 synopsis

The third season of Stargirl is subtitled “Frenemies”, and it will see Courtney, Pat and the JSA forced to team up with their former enemies from the Injustice Society, as a greater evil emerges. Star Brec Bassinger previously teased that this season will revolve around a murder mystery and the title of the premiere certainly suggests that murder will take place in the first episode.

The premiere will also deal with the comeback of Starman (Joel McHale), who resurfaced in the season 2 finale and helped Courtney, the JSA and the ISA defeat Eclipso.

Here’s the official synopsis for “Frenemies -Chapter One: The Murder”:

"STARMAN IS BACK — With Starman (Joel McHale) back from the dead and her former super-villain enemies vowing to reform, Courtney (Brec Bassinger) is hopeful that there will finally be peace in Blue Valley.  But when The Gambler (guest star Eric Goins) arrives to town looking to make his own amends, the team find themselves at odds over whether he can be trusted."
