Titans is one of the most popular DC TV shows on air today. The former DC Universe series became a part of the HBO Max line-up with its third season, which saw Jason Todd evolve into Red Hood, and it quickly made itself at home, with viewers commending the new season as its best yet.
Season 3 left things in a very interesting place, with the Titans leaving Gotham City behind, but what does the future hold for the show? Normally, that would be pretty easy to answer given the show’s success, but the cancellation of Batgirl‘s release, restructuring of HBO Max by Warner Bros. Discovery, and other rumors have left fans very anxious about their favorite DC shows.

Is Titans cancelled?
No, DC’s Titans has not been cancelled. The show was renewed for a fourth season after the success of season 3 last year. That fourth season is currently in-production and is rumored to release in October 2022. While the fact that it had been filmed didn’t save Batgirl from Warner Bros. Discovery’s axe, production on Titans is still ongoing and it’s highly unlikely that it will be scrapped now.
What happens after season 4 is where the real mystery comes in. Warner Bros. Discovery’s new direction for HBO Max and DC properties has resulted in a lot of anxiety in regards to its film and TV slate, but the truth is that Titans‘ future will depend on the performance of season 4 on HBO Max – which again suggests that it will be released on the streamer.
An initial report suggested that both it and DC’s Doom Patrol were on the chopping block but Variety have since confirmed that “as with all TV series on the service, final decisions will be made once the seasons are streaming”.
