The Mandalorian season 3 is not coming to Disney Plus in August 2022
The Mandalorian season 3 is one of the most anticipated shows right now. Unfortunately, we shouldn’t expect new episodes this month.
Star Wars fans have been all wondering the same thing over the past year and a half: When are we getting new episodes of The Mandalorian.
The spin-off series debuted on Disney Plus back when the streaming service launched in 2019 and it has received critical acclaim from the offset. Since then, it has become one of the most popular, and award-nominated, TV shows of our time, and it is widely regarded as a reinvigoration of the Star Wars franchise.
It’s been over a year since the second season of the series concluded, and there haven’t been all that many updates on the third. Unfortunately, don’t be expecting the show to return for new episodes in August. The streamer unveiled its line-up for the month and The Mandalorian season 3 is not on there.
That said, when can we expect new episodes of the series?

The Mandalorian season 3 will premiere in February 2023. The official Star Wars Twitter account confirmed the news.
Fans hoped season 3 would arrive at Christmastime this year but Disney have opted to hold it until next year. The Book of Boba Fett debuted in its slot last year so its possible a different Star Wars series will do the same this year.
Speaking of which, if you’re ready for more Star Wars and don’t want to wait until The Mandalorian season 3, Obi-Wan Kenobi wrapped its run in June, with Ewan McGregor reprising his role as the titular character for all six episodes. As for what’s next, Andor premieres on September 21.
