House of the Dragon is back! And no, we’re not just talking about the fact that it’s airing a brand new episode this weekend. The Game of Thrones prequel has been renewed for a second season after just one episode. In all honesty, it’s not that surprising given the juggernaut franchise it belongs to and the reviews it has received.

The series focuses on the history of the Targaryen family, taking place generations before GoT‘s Daenerys Targaryen ever said the word “Dracarys”.

House of the Dragon premieres on HBO and HBO Max on Sundays at 9:00 p.m. ET on the East Coast of the U.S. However, it will also premiere simultaneously in many locations around the world.
