Harley Quinn will return for a fourth season on HBO Max

Despite the multiple cancellations from Warner Bros/Discovery, Harley Quinn will come back to HBO Max for a fourth season. 

If you haven’t been paying attention to everything going on with Warner Bros, you may not have noticed that DC Comics shows and movies are being canceled left and right. Batgirl, The Wonder Twins, and Batman: Caped Crusader are only a few of the projects dropped by Warner Bros. Discovery (though the last one might live on on a new network).

There’s also the fact that Shazam 2 and Aquaman 2 have been delayed. And with Ezra Miller’s future with WB being uncertain, The Flash movie is still somewhat uncertain too. This makes it difficult to be a fan of DC Comics media. You can’t get invested in something that may get cut.

Thankfully, fans of Harley Quinn are safe for another year.

Harley Quinn season 4 is happening

According to Deadline, Harley Quinn has been renewed for a fourth season. Moreover, the show’s writer Sarah Peters will now be the showrunner. Since she’s been a writer on the show since season 1, it’s a smart move. She knows what the fans want because she’s been giving it to them since the beginning.

Sarah Peters will be taking over for Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker who were Harley Quinn’s original showrunners and the show’s developers. The two said:

"“Three seasons down and I can’t even begin to think about the new levels of chaos and trouble that Harley, Ivy and the gang can get into with a fourth season. But I’m grateful to our partners at HBO Max for continuing this insane ride with us so we can all find out.”"

Season 3 of Harley Quinn has been as raunchy, funny, and deeply emotional as you’d expect. It’s also given fun twists to the personalities of many DC Comics characters. For example, who would have thought that the Joker uses a CPAP machine while he sleeps and that he’d be mayor of Gotham City? Or that the Court of Owls hosts an orgy? The latter is something you’d expect from The Boys.

With a fourth season coming, fans can expect even more shenanigans from Harley, Poison Ivy, and the rest of the Gotham City heroes, villains, and more. Also look for more actors to do voice work too.
