Marvel Studios’ may have signed 7 incredible performers for Phase 5
By Mark Lynch
Henry Cavill, Denzel Washington, and Jodie Comer are only three of the major names in the recent Marvel Studios casting rumor.
Once upon a time, it used to be weird to see a well known actor or actress in a comic book movie. That’s changed. Comic book projects have become desired roles. Especially if you land one at Marvel Studios. Joining the Marvel family brings stability, an almost certainty that the movie or show will do well, and a ton of new fans. Plus, most people seem to have fun on the set.
Marvel Studios is moving into its next couple of phases. Most projects after Phase 5 don’t have titles. That doesn’t mean there isn’t a plan. Marvel is always thinking of the future. Announcing mutants (the season finale of Ms. Marvel and episode 2 of She-Hulk) and bringing in multiple gods (Thor: Love and Thunder) isn’t just for fun. They’re hints towards future movies and shows. With that comes casting rumors and Yahoo.com may have announced some major names.
Marvel casting rumors swirl ahead of D23
According to broadcaster Emmet Kennedy, Marvel Studios has signed seven big names. Those seven are John Boyega (Star Wars), Henry Cavill (Man of Steel), Jodie Comer (Killing Eve), Daisy Edgar-Jones (Normal People), John Krasinski (The Office), Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), and Denzel Washington (Malcolm X, Man on Fire, and dozens of more classics). All of which are said to help with Phase 5.
All of those names have proven to be great at what they do. Especially legends like Denzel Washington and Giancarlo Esposito. The others may not have been around as long as Denzel and Giancarlo, but they’ve been incredible in their own projects.
As of now, this is just hearsay. If the rumor is true, Marvel Studios has improved and advanced the MCU in a colossal way. Hopefully, more will be revealed soon. Stay tuned to Bam Smack Pow for more as the news develops.
