Who is Hercules in Thor: Love and Thunder?

During the first post-credit scene, we’re introduced to a legendary Marvel comics character with roots in the Thor comics: Hercules! That’s right, Hercules is finally coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as teased with his introduction in the post-credit scene from Thor: Love and Thunder!

In the first post-credit scene in Thor: Love and Thunder, we find that Zeus has survived his encounter with Thor and is ready for revenge. However, he’s not planning on getting his hands dirty. During the moment, Zeus is going on about how humanity has forgotten gods in favor of superheroes and is ready to take revenge on Thor. As the camera pans out, we see Hercules rise ready to take on the challenge of bringing Thor down in the name of his father.

If Hercules looks familiar, it’s because he happens to be played by a highly sought-after actor, with Emmy-winner Brett Goldstein making his MCU debut as the character first introduced in the pages of Marvel comics back in 1965’s Journey Into Mystery Annual No. 1.

The actor is likely to look familiar to you as he is the star of one of television’s biggest hits at the moment: Ted Lasso.
