Danny Ramirez Marvel roles: Will Joaquin Torres be in Captain America 4?

The Captain America 4 cast will include both new and returning faces, but will Danny Ramirez be returning to reprise his role as Joaquin Torres?

There was a lot to love about The Falcon and the Winter Solider, including its many breakout performances from both its lead stars and its supporting cast. Among the how’s biggest scene-stealers was Danny Ramirez, who made his MCU in the series as Joaquin Torres.

In the series, Joaquin is a First Lieutenant and intelligence officer in the United States Air Force, and a friend of Sam Wilson. Throughout the series, Joaquin comes to Sam’s assistance as a trusted ally helping him on more than a few occasions when he’s in a bind.

As comic book fans know, the character eventually becomes Sam’s successor and there were definitely some hints at this across the series. Joaquin took an interest in Sam’s wings in the show and was even in possession of them as the season came to a close when Sam abandoned his broken wings and harness, turning them over to his friend.

The hope was that we might see Joaquin suit up as the Falcon in the season finale, but the moment never happened and his future in the MCU has been left up in the air ever since.

Will Danny Ramirez return as Joaquin Torres in Captain America 4?

Although his future in the MCU was left up in the air after the events of Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Danny Ramirez’s time in the MCU has only just begun! As confirmed at D23, Ramirez will return as Joaquin Torres in Captain America: New World Order when it arrives in theaters in 2024.

While unconfirmed, it is expected that Ramirez will not only be returning to reprise his role as Joaquin but that we’ll finally see him suit up as the MCU’s new Falcon within the film!

Given Sam has officially taken on the role of Captain America, it’ll be a natural progression for Joaquin to take up the Falcon mantle in the film and it’ll be exciting to see how Marvel updates the character’s look for Ramirez. It’ll also be interesting to see the evolution of his character’s relationship with Sam as the two settle into their new superhero personas.
