Fantastic Four, Moon Knight season 2 and every Marvel announcement not made at D23

There were a lot of amazing Marvel announcements made at D23, but there were just as many rumored announcements that did not happen.
On Saturday, Sept. 10, Marvel Studios returned to D23 with a panel that was full of amazing announcements teasing the future of the MCU!
Across the studio’s presentation at D23, Marvel revealed new information about a whopping 12 titles including Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Werewolf by Night, Secret Invasion, Loki, Echo, Daredevil: Born Again, Ironheart, Fantastic Four, Captain America: New World Order, Thunderbolts and The Marvels
The panel dropped some major casting news for projects, provided us with hints of what’s to come, and even shared some new trailers for a few titles.
There was a lot to love about the panel; however, there were also a lot of Marvel announcements fans had been anticipating that never came to fruition.
What did Marvel not announce at D23?
Ahead of Marvel’s return to D23, there were a lot of rumors regarding projects that would be announced at the event. From the official Fantastic Four cast announcement and a renewal for Moon Knight to follow-up projects for recently released films, fans had high hopes for the event.
While there were some amazing announcements made during Disney’s Studio Showcase panel, there were just as many announcements the studio did not make. Despite fan speculation, the following projects were not announced during the Marvel Studios D23 panel:
- The Fantastic Four cast
- A Scarlet Witch solo project
- Moon Knight season 2 renewal or a Midnight Suns project
- Announcement of an Okoye Disney+ series
- Ms. Marvel season 2 renewal
- A World War Hulk movie or series announced
- Any X-men casting or project updates
- Additional details about Spider-Man: Freshman Year or any Marvel Studios animation projects
- New Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 trailers, teaser or news
- The casting of John Boyega, Henry Cavill, Jodie Comer, Daisy Edgar-Jones, John Krasinski, Giancarlo Esposito or Denzel Washington in any MCU projects.
