Fans are eager to see the X-Men debut in the MCU and Bryce Dallas Howard looks nothing short of epic in this concept art as the long-time X-Men, Jean Grey.

Marvel might not have announced any plans for the X-Men just yet, but it’s only a matter of time before the iconic superheroes and villains from the pages of the X-Men comics make their way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

From the moment Marvel reobtained the rights to the X-Men franchise as part of Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox, fans have been counting down the days until the beloved heroes make their highly anticipated debuts in the MCU.

While we’ve been treated to a handful of X-Men films over the years via two iterations of the franchise, the thought of the X-Men making their way to the MCU is one that has fans feeling invigorated and excited about what the future of both franchises could hold.

When the time comes for the X-Men to arrive in the MCU, it’s expected Marvel will look to re-introduce fans to the franchise’s most iconic heroes including its long-time member Jean Grey.

Following Famke Janssen and Sophie Turner’s iconic turns as the hero, it’s going to be interesting to see who Marvel might turn to to bring the character to life in the MCU. One possible? Beloved actress Bryce Dallas Howard.

What Bryce Dallas Howard could look like as Jean Grey in the MCU

As fans continue to speculate over who could play Jean Grey in the MCU, digital artist Daniel Savage took to Instagram to share a jaw-dropping edit envisioning Bryce Dallas Howard in full glory as the X-Men’s iconic heroine.

In the stunning concept art, Howard is transformed into Jean Grey with the artist drawing heavy inspiration from the X-Men’s signature blue and yellow costumes. But what truly brings the concept art to life is the incorporation of telekinetic fields, a nod to Jean’s iconic abilities as one of the strongest telepaths in the Marvel Universe.

Although Howard is, admittedly, not an actress who came to mind early as a possible frontrunner to play Jean in the MCU, the concept art makes quite the compelling argument for why she’d be perfect for the role.

Howard looks absolutely stunning in Jean’s signature costume and we know she has the acting chops to bring an incredible performance if given the chance to join the MCU, but would joining the MCU be of interest to her?

Will Bryce Dallas Howard join the MCU as Mystique?

At this time, it is unclear whether Bryce Dallas Howard might play Jean Grey in the MCU as Marvel has not announced any casting news or plans for the X-Men. However, if Marvel were to come calling we have a feeling Howard would answer the call!

During a 2015 interview with Cinema Blend, Howard gushed about her dream of one daying joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

"“That would be rad. Those movies are so fantastic, because talk about just these incredibly drawn characters! That’s the joy of the comics, is that you fall in love with these characters and it’s who they are that carries you from journey to journey to journey – it’s not just about set pieces. It’s really about who these people are, and so, yes, I just would love to be in a Marvel film."

Given Marvel has yet to cast her in a project, the door remains open for Howard to join the MCU and the incredible concept art from Daniel Savage makes a strong argument for why she should be considered for the role of Jean Grey!
