4. Apocalypse

20th Century Fox did a lot of things wrong with their X-Men franchise. Among them is X-Men: Apocalypse. There are the obvious things like the selection of Horsemen, the lack of Storm in the movie, or the story overall. However, one thing that shouldn’t be overlooked is how they wasted the great Oscar Isaac.

Oscar Isaac was the perfect person to play En Sabah Nur (Apocalypse). He had all of the qualities to become an unforgettable villain. As Apocalypse, Isaac could have given speeches about survival of the fittest that would have given the audience chills. Instead it’s doubtful anyone remembers he was in the movie. While Oscar Isaac won’t be back as Apocalypse, Marvel Studios can still do right by the character.

Before Apocalypse becomes a movie villain, there should be an origin story. En Sabah Nur was abandoned as a baby because of how he looks and left for dead. Yet he survived and became a warrior and a leader. That alone is worth seeing. There are other interesting things about his past too. For example, there’s his feud with Cable, his children (who became the original Horsemen), and his incredible wife Genesis. Once those stories are told (hopefully in show form), his debut will get fans excited to see him in an X-Men movie.
