1. Mr. Sinister

When 20th Century Fox was still producing movies, Marvel Comics fans were patiently waiting for Nathaniel Essex (Mr. Sinister). His name was dropped in X-Men: Apocalypse and again in Deadpool 2. Thankfully, nothing came out of that.

Since this would have been his first appearance in a movie, it had to be good. If his debut was fumbled, it could have ruined him for the future. Comic book and fans of X-Men: The Animated Series know about him, but he’s an unknown character to the novice fan. Hopefully he’ll come to the MCU and continue their trend of great villains.

Mr. Sinister has been a fantastic villain to the X-Men. He could lose a fight and still win the battle. It doesn’t matter if it’s him or one of his clones, Essex will find a way to learn from the loss and never make the mistake again. Sometimes he plans to lose so he can study his enemy. This is  why he can – and should – become the X-Men’s long term villain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The X-Men are going to need an antagonist that’s entertaining and devious. Mr. Sinister is both. His recent sassy behavior will help him in the MCU. Fans will love his personality and hate him for the way he treats people (Essex will call the ‘people’ test subjects). Plus, Essex changes his look so much that the performer can change if necessary. This means he can be around forever.
