The season 6 premiere of Rick and Morty was both funny and deep. All of the main characters learned something about themselves. Each lesson will come into play later in the season. Most likely in the season 6 finale of the beloved animated TV series.
Episode 2 wasn’t full of enlightenment. Most of it was Rick and Morty trying to escape a game in Blips and Chitz. While they were in that adventure, Summer protected them. How did she guard her uncle and brother’s bodies? She did it by doing a Die Hard. By that this writer means she made a bunch of Die Hard jokes and said the name of the movie a lot.
The titles for Rick and Morty always hint toward what the episode will be about. In this case, the name of the episode is “Bethic Twinstinct”. This has to involve both Beths. Does Space Beth hit on Jerry? For all we know, she’s not the clone. However, that doesn’t mean that Earth Beth won’t be upset if she finds her husband in bed with the other her. It’ll be funny to see Jerry be the desired person in this love triangle.
Then there’s Rick and Summer. The teaser trailer shows Rick and Summer playing a video game where they have to find each other to fight. If this writer had to guess, they’ll play more than one game. It’ll be this season’s version of inter-dimensional television.

As Rick and Morty is an Adult Swim-exclusive series, the third episode of season 6 can be viewed on TV on Adult Swim itself. It is also expected to be made available on Adult Swim’s website, with the hope that the season will stream on HBO Max and Hulu at some point in the future. The episodes are also available for purchase on Amazon Prime after their premiere.
