Disney Plus to add new X-Men movie to catalog in October 2022

There are some great titles coming to Disney Plus in October 2022, including a new X-Men movie available to stream for the first time on the platform.

October is going to be quite an eventful month for Disney Plus subscribers. Not only will the month bring with it the final episodes of She-Hulk season 1 as well as new episodes of the latest Star Wars series Andor, but the month is going to be filled with some amazing new additions worth adding to the watch list.

In addition to new episodes of its hit Marvel and Lucasfilm series, October will feature the first-ever Marvel Studios holiday special with the release of Werewolf by Night on Oct. 7 and see several Marvel animated titles heading to Disney Plus with the additions of Spider-Man: The New Animated Series season 1 and The Spectacular Spider-Man season 1 on Oct. 19 as well as Marvel’s Hulk: Where Monsters Dwell on Oct. 28.

The month will also feature the addition of a new X-Men movie with The New Mutants finally making its way to Disney Plus in the US for the first time!

New Mutants X-Men movie Disney Plus release date

Beginning on Oct. 14, 2022, X-Men fans will be able to stream The New Mutants for the first time in the US when the movie makes its debut on Disney Plus. This will mark the first time the X-Men movie is available to stream on a Disney brand streaming service following its original streaming run on HBO Max.

Given the film’s horror themes, it’s a perfect October addition for Marvel fans looking for something new to watch on Disney Plus later in the month after they’ve already enjoyed Werewolf by Night. 

It’ll also mean that Disney Plus is getting one step closing to becoming the official home to every live-action X-Men movie as the streaming service is now home to every X-Men movie with the exception of X-Men Origins: Wolverine and The Wolverine.
