Should Keke Palmer play Rogue of the X-Men in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Absolutely, and here’s why.

Marvel Comics fans have been waiting on any news regarding the X-Men making their Marvel Cinematic Universe debut.

During the Disney D23 Expo, people were hoping for some news about Marvel’s Mightiest Mutants. A title, plans for the future, or the sound of Wolverine popping his claws would have sufficed.

Alas, nothing about their future was revealed. However, despite no official news, fans haven’t stopped making suggestions on who should play their favorite X-Men. The most recent is the funny and phenomenal Nope star, Keke Palmer.

Keke Palmer reacts to X-Men fan casting

On a TikTok video, a fan showed their love for Keke Palmer by saying that she should play everyone’s favorite southern member of the X-Men, Rogue. Keke got ahold of the video and excitedly responded saying, “Come on agentttttttt.”

If Keke Palmer is all in on playing Rogue, should Marvel Studios give her a shot? This writer says yes.

Keke Palmer is more than just a good actress. She puts her all into whatever she does. Not just on films and shows. In real life as well. Whenever she’s on social media or in interviews, Keke is fun, energetic, and speaks her mind. Sometimes she flat-out steals the show. Whoever plays Rogue has to stand out in a crowd. It’s easy to see why she can do that.

The one thing that Keke Palmer doesn’t have is a naturally deep southern American accent. This is an important part of Rogue’s character. She must sound like she’s from rural Mississippi. It’s just as important as the signature white streak in her hair. If Keke Palmer can pull off the accent, then Marvel Studios should absolutely cast her to play Anna Marie.
