Brec Bassinger teases Stargirl crossover with DC’s Titans
The Star-Spangled Girl is coming to Titans, as a crossover between the HBO Max series and The CW’s Stargirl is seemingly in the works.
We have our first DCTV crossover in way too long, and it might not be the one you’re expecting.
Stargirl will make her presence felt on the fourth season of DC’s Titans it seems. The Star-Spangled Girl herself, Brec Bassinger, made the reveal via her own social media pages, posting an image of herself in the Stargirl suit alongside Titans‘ Ryan Potter, who was also sporting his character Beast Boy’s signature green hair.
Along with the image (which can be viewed here in a tweet), Bassinger added the caption:
"“Omg, so crazy running into my friends in Toronto. Such a crazy coincidence. CrAzy.”"
Is Stargirl crossing over with Titans?
This comes after weeks of speculation that Stargirl would be crossing over with both Titans and Doom Patrol – which was seemingly confirmed this week when images from the set of Titans featured logos for Blue Valley High School. Fans of the former would know that Blue Valley is where Stargirl is set.
If the crossover is indeed happening, it’s a reminder of a time when DCTV shows would cross over regularly. The CW’s Arrowverse shows would have huge annual crossover events between 2014 and 2020, before both the pandemic and the cancellation of multiple shows prevented any more from happening. While Stargirl and Titans aren’t exclusively Arrowverse shows, they are considered Arrowverse-adjacent, as the Crisis On Infinite Earths crossover referenced both, establishing that they take place on their own separate Earths.
How Courtney Whitmore will find herself in the Titans’ crosshairs remains to be seen. It will undoubtedly be interesting given the separate earths (not-to-mention the shows’ drastically different tones) but it will be an exciting time nonetheless, especially since both got their start on the DC Universe streaming service.
DC’s Stargirl season 3 is currently airing on The CW on Wednesdays at 8/7c.
