Stargirl season 3, episode 5 release date: When does the show return from hiatus?

DC’s Stargirl season 3 is currently airing on The CW on Wednesday nights, but it will be taking a quick break from the network. When does it come back?

DC’s Stargirl recently returned to The CW to kick off its long-awaited third season. The show was originally expected to premiere on the network in the summer like its predecessors, but the already-filmed season 3 was held to kick off the fall schedule instead, debuting on the last day of summer.

Stargirl season 3 has seen Courtney Whitmore and the Justice Society of America investigate the murder of one of their former villains, The Gambler. The investigation itself has led to a lot of blaming and finger-pointing, primarily between the JSA and the Injustice Society. But new evidence in the fourth episode promises to take the mystery in a new direction.

Stargirl will be taking a brief hiatus from The CW, meaning that episode 5 won’t be hitting screens on the week fans were anticipating it would. However, here is everything you need to know about the fifth episode, “Frenemies – Chapter Five: The Thief”, and when it will premiere.

Stargirl season 3, episode 5 release date

DC’s Stargirl season 3 returns to The CW on Wednesday, October 5, at 8/7c. Yes, that means that the show is taking just a one-week break as the network prepares for the launch of the rest of its fall schedule.

Thus, when Stargirl returns, it will be joined on Wednesday nights by Kung Fu season 3, which will air directly after it.

Stargirl season 3, episode 5 synopsis

The tension in the Justice Society of America continues to be a problem for the team and, judging by the synopsis of “Frenemies – Chapter Five: The Thief”, Courtney’s newfound bond with Cameron will see that tension continue to escalate.

Here’s the official synopsis released by The CW:

"SECRETS AND LIES — As Courtney (Brec Bassinger) continues to secretly help Cameron (Hunter Sansone), the team notices she’s pulling away from her role as the JSA leader.  Mike (Trae Romano) and Jakeem (Alkoya Brunson) approach Cindy (Meg DeLacy) with a proposition.  Finally, Yolanda’s (Yvette Monreal) decision to follow her intuition leads her to make a shocking discovery."
