Jack O’Connell as Wolverine

Wolverine is arguably the most popular X-Men, who, when introduced, will ignite fans. No one knows how, or when, they will introduce Wolverine, but it will happen. There are a lot of names floating around the fan casting spectrum when it comes to Wolverine. Even Sandra Bullock has someone she thinks Marvel should cast, Daniel Radcliffe. One of the more popular names was Tom Hardy. Before playing Venom, Hardy was a fancast darling to play the loner X-Men for obvious reasons. He’s an elite actor with the perfect height (5’9) and built like he was ripped straight from the comics. Another fitting fan-cast is Zac Efron, who wouldn’t be a bad choice for the role either. Some other names, like Henry Cavill and Keanu Reeves, have floated around — stop it.

Historically, going with less of a household name seems to be the MCU’s route as of late. Why not do the same with Wolverine? Someone like Jack O’Connell, who has had an extensive career in film and TV already, embodies everything fans would want in Wolverine. First, he’s 5 foot 8 inches solid build, a bit bigger than Daniel Radcliffe with a natural rugged look. He’s as talented as any actor listed above, but he doesn’t have a lengthy resume or massive franchise. However, you can see him in a few critically acclaimed films like 71, Starred Up, or the sci-fi drama, Little Fish.

Scott Eastwood is an actor without the resume who fits as well. There’s also fan favorites Karl Urban and Taron Egerton — who would all would kill it.
