Heading into She-Hulk the assumption was Titania would be She-Hulk’s major villain, but did She-Hulk episode 7 just confirm SPOILER as the real villain?

Warning: The following post contains spoilers connected to the seventh episode of She-Hulk, proceed with caution in knowing that spoilers await you.

Before She-Hulk ever even premiered, fans were billing Titania as the season’s Big Bad which made sense given her top booking in the teasers for the series. However, as time has passed on the show, we’ve gradually been getting hints that perhaps we had misjudged the situation.

Sure, Titania has been a fun foil for Jen to face off against in the early episodes of the season, but there seems to be another villain working in the shadows that the writers are hyping up to be far more of a threat.

It all began earlier in the season when a group of men attacked Jen and tried to steal her blood. Their attempt was unsuccessful and that storyline went cold for a bit before heating up again in episode 6 last week when we caught a glimpse of an unknown individual spying on Jen as the cameras transported us to a high-tech lab.

As we see on the screen of the computer in the lab, someone has been studying Jen and this HulkKing seems ready to initiate the next phase of a plan in the works. Fast forward to episode 7 and that phase seems to be put into motion by an unlikely individual.

She-Hulk episode 7 ending: Can Josh be trusted?

When we were first introduced to Josh in episode 6, he seemed like a harmless and lovable dude who seemed genuinely interested in getting to know Jen. The two hit it off instantly from the moment they first met while trying to catch their break and escape the chaos of Jen’s friend’s wedding.

As episode 7 begins, things seem to be going really well between Josh and Jen after the wedding. The pair have been exchanging flirty texts and enjoying romantic dates, and it appears this could be the start of something great. However, after the pair finally enjoy a night together at Jen’s place, Josh ghosts Jen and fails to reply to her messages for several days which sends Jen into a spiral.

Although Jen is able to clear her head with help from some unlikely pals, as the episode comes to a close the show reminds the clock back to the night Jen and Josh hooked up which is when the writers dropped a major bombshell on us.

It seems Josh isn’t who we thought he was and has been working with HulkKing in order to secure Jen’s blood and more.

While Jen is fast asleep in bed, we see Josh getting dressed as his phone clones data from Jen’s phone. He then gets up and snaps a photo of Jen which he sends to none other than HulkKing accompanied by a trio of emojis which paint a grim picture: a blood-filled syringe, green test tube, and thumbs up.

Clearly, Josh has been working with HulkKing this whole time and was playing Jen just to get close to her in order to do HulkKing’s bidding. It was a twist we can’t say we saw coming out of the gate but seems to further suggest that it’s the mysterious individual behind the HulkKing username that will emerge from the shadows as the season’s true villain in the final episodes of the season.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law episode 7 is streaming now on Disney Plus with new episodes releasing weekly on Thursday.
