She-Hulk: Attorney At Law prepares for its season finale with its most thrilling episode yet. What does it all mean?

The end is nigh for She-Hulk‘s first season. The series is the most recent in Marvel Studios’ Disney Plus original shows, bringing the title character to the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the first time.

Tatiana Maslany’s Jade Giantess has quickly become a fan-favorite character, as fans have fallen in love with Jennifer Walters. And in this week’s episode – the eighth in the season – we finally got to see her adopt the superhero lifestyle.

Jennifer began representing a new client named Eugene Patilio, a.k.a. Leap-Frog, and that put her in the crosshairs of Daredevil. Yes, this is the episode that saw Charlie Cox don the suit again, as Matt Murdock returned to our screens as the Man Without Fear. And to say the internet was happy about it would be a major understatement.

What happened in She-Hulk episode 8?

Things went from good to very good for Jennifer Walters as that interaction with Daredevil blossomed in more ways than one. Unfortunately, her happiness would be short-lived as Intelligencia ruined her moment when she received the Female Lawyer of the Year award.

Broadcasting a video of when she was intimate with Josh, they promised to show the world the “real” She-Hulk. The video understandably made Jen incredibly upset, which resulted in her angrily destroying the screen that it was broadcast on. The resulting property damage forced everyone to evacuate the building in fear. And, from that point onwards, everyone looked at She-Hulk with fear.

“Ribbit or Rip It” very much implied that Jennifer may have finally lost control of her Hulk-like powers, which would make her more like her cousin, Bruce Banner, before he managed to merge his Hulk and Bruce personalities. The deeper, more powerful bellow that came from her voice sounded almost identical to the one we heard from the Incredible Hulk. Naturally, that would make people fear She-Hulk in the same way that the Hulk was feared for all of those years.

The question is: Has the anger she felt over Intelligencia’s awful act resulted in the creation of a separate Hulk-like personality, or is She-Hulk simply angry over what happened? And, let’s be honest, anger would be a totally natural response to this situation.

With a frightened audience (and no doubt a ton of photographs from Intelligencia operatives), the world could be about to change for Jennifer. Will she overcome the haters, stop Intelligencia and prove that She-Hulk is a hero in next week’s season finale?
