Is Werewolf by Night a show? Will there be a second episode of Werewolf by Night?
Werewolf by Night arrived on Disney Plus and made quite the impression. Is it set to become a weekly thing or is it a one-time special mini movie?
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is nothing short of untouchable when it comes to franchise building. For nearly a decade-and-a-half, the MCU has told an expansive story across countless movies and, last year, the studio added streaming TV to its arsenal.
Phase Four of the MCU signified the beginning of a new, more unique chapter for Marvel, and the Disney Plus shows were at the heart of that, with shows like WandaVision and She-Hulk: Attorney At Law arguably being the most unique and experimental of them all – simply because they weren’t your typical superhero shows.
The next experiment comes in the form of Werewolf by Night. A Halloween event based on the comic book character of the same name, it stars Gael Garcia Bernal in the title role, bringing him to the MCU (along with some other monsters, too). The question is: Is there more to the story than this one adventure?
Is Werewolf by Night a series?
Werewolf by Night may have joined the multitude of MCU shows on Disney Plus, but you might be surprised to learn that it’s not actually a series. The project was designed as a standalone Halloween TV special so that Marvel fans could experience the more spooky side of the MCU at the spookiest time of year.
With all of that in mind, Werewolf by Night is essentially a mini movie, and that means there won’t be a surprise second episode arriving on Disney Plus next week.
However, if you’re hoping to see these characters again, you might be in luck, as Kevin Feige revealed that Werewolf by Night is ultimately going to be a crucial part of the MCU’s development going forward as it officially introduced monsters into the mix.
Here’s hoping we get a Werewolf by Night sequel soon!
