The previous episode of Rick and Morty was a classic Jerry Smith and Rick Sanchez adventure. It started when Jerry got a fortune cookie that said that he was going to sleep with his mother. Of course, in true Rick and Morty fashion, this leads to a lot of jokes about Jerry. However, Rick finds out that the fortune is going to happen. There’s even one close call.

All in all, it was a fantastic and hilarious episode. The highlight was seeing Rick in his element. He was beating enemies by using gadgets in this episode that we haven’t seen before. This may end up being the most fun episode of the season.

The upcoming episode involves dinosaurs and everyone loves dinosaurs. Apparently, they’re coming back to Earth to help humanity. According to Rick (in the trailer below), the dinosaurs called humanity’s bluff. They gave humans more free time by making the world a better place. Rick is content because he’s always done whatever he wanted. The problem is the rest of the Smith family. Rick tells the family they’re now all Jerry because they don’t have a purpose. A funny realization for fans, but not so much for Beth.

The synopsis for the episode reveals:

"“Seemingly out of the blue, Earth’s old rulers return. They make a great case for changing the way society does business, but Rick isn’t going to put up with it.”"

It may seem straightforward, but it won’t be. “Earth’s old rulers” will do something to get Rick to kick them off the planet. The dinosaurs could annoy him, he could be doing his family a favor, or it could be boredom. This writer bets on the latter.

As Rick and Morty is an Adult Swim-exclusive series, the sixth episode of the sixth season can be watched on TV on Adult Swim.
