The Winchesters returns to The CW soon with its second installment. When does the next episode of The CW series come out, and what do we know about it?
A new era has begun for Supernatural fans as The Winchesters has finally debuted on The CW. The first of three attempted spin-offs of the series to actually get made, it’s set in the past and focuses on the origin story of the iconic Winchester family, showcasing how Sam and Dean’s parents first met and became the legendary hunters they were known as on the main show.
John and Mary Winchester may be hardened hunters in Supernatural lore, but they weren’t always that way. The spin-off takes us back in time to show us how they came into each other’s lives and what their love story looks like… as well as how they became these revered hunters.
The first episode of the series has now arrived on screens and that is just the beginning of the story. Naturally, there is more to come.

The Winchesters season 1, episode 2 release date
The Winchesters season 1, episode 2 airs on The CW on Tuesday, October 18 2022, at 8:00 p.m. ET, 5:00 p.m. PT, and 7:00 p.m. CT. The episode is titled “Teach Your Children Well” and is directed by John Showalter, from a script written by Robbie Thompson & David H. Goodman.
The show will air every Tuesday night on the network, in its prime slot that is usually reserved for its high-performing superhero shows. That highlights how much faith The CW has in the show.

The trailer for the second episode was released after the first one aired. The CW always releases weekly promos for the next installments after the previous episode airs and they will be doing the same with The Winchesters.
The Winchesters season 1, episode 2 synopsis
The Winchesters episode 2 will hone in on much of the show’s family aspects that were teased in the pilot episode. With that, John and his mother will butt heads over “the family business”, while Mary will continue to follow leads from her father that will see her get involved in the investigation into the disappearance of a teenage boy.
Here is the official synopsis released by The CW below:
"FAMILY MATTERS – John (Drake Rodger) and Millie (Bianca Kajlich) are on different pages about his new interest in hunting and Ada (Demetria McKinney) tries to bridge the gap. Mary (Meg Donnelly) follows a trail from her father that points to the disappearance of a teenage boy in Topeka. Meanwhile, Carlos (JoJo Fleites) has a heart to heart with Mary as Latika (Nida Khurshid) dives into her books to identify the monster."
