There are just five episodes of The Walking Dead left to air. Or at least there will be after this weekend’s episode (season 11 episode 19) airs.

It’s a sentence that just doesn’t feel right to say out loud because TWD has been part of the very fabric of television for 12 years. It’s hard to imagine a world without it on screens. Thankfully, it won’t be leaving without expanding the legacy it’s already built, with multiple spin-offs set to carry the story forward (including the stories of the characters we met on TWD).

But as yours truly has been saying since the show returned from its final hiatus, there are still more adventures for the show to tell before it bows out. And if you’ve already seen the nineteenth episode of the final season, you’ll no doubt be ready to feast your eyes on the next one.

The Walking Dead season 11 episode 20 will air on AMC next Sunday, October 23, at 9:00 p.m. ET, 6:00 p.m. PT, and 8:00 p.m. CT. That said, if you would prefer not to wait that long, you can watch it a week early on AMC+. It will be uploaded onto the streamer on Sunday, October 16.

This episode is titled “What’s Been Lost” and it will focus on Daryl and Carol as they search for their friends who have disappeared. These two have had one of the show’s most important relationships, so it’s only right that they get to team up for at least one more episode focused on just them.
