Is Black Adam on Disney Plus?
Black Adam is upon us but will you be able to watch the movie on Disney Plus?
It’s time for the hierarchy of power to shift in the DC Extended Universe. Black Adam, the only movie set within the continuity of the DCEU to be released this year, is arriving in movie theaters this week.
Starring Dwyane “The Rock” Johnson, the film is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra and will mark the title character’s first adventure on the silver screen – which is a huge step in and of itself when you think about the fact that Johnson was first cast in this role a decade-and-a-half ago.
With so much anticipation for Black Adam, it goes without saying that DC fans are ready to see this movie. The question is, where can you expect to find it on streaming (and when)?
Is Black Adam available on Disney Plus?
Unfortunately, Black Adam will not be available on Disney Plus. While that streamer is familiar with blockbuster superhero movies, those belong to the Marvel Cinematic Universe – a franchise that Disney owns the rights to.
With Black Adam belonging to Warner Bros. Discovery’s DCEU, it will go to WarnerMedia’s own streaming service HBO Max sometime after a 45-day exclusive-theatrical release window.
Where will Black Adam be available to stream?
As of right now, Black Adam can only be seen in movie theaters. However, as far as streaming goes, it will likely find its way to HBO Max before the end of the year, so don’t expect to find it anywhere else before that.
As for when it could debut, it will likely be around 60 – 70 days after its theatrical debut as Warner has been waiting a little longer with more recent releases. With that in mind, don’t be surprised if it debuts over the holidays or on the last week of December.
After its streaming debut, you will then be able to find it on VOD services and home media as well.
