Lily Rabe

Lily Rabe is this writer’s favorite actress on American Horror Story. She has a way of dragging you into a scene whenever she’s on screen. It doesn’t matter if she’s playing a witch who loves being close to the earth and animals (Coven) or the Devil (Asylum), Lily Rabe is going to take a character and deliver a memorable performance. She always goes into a role at 100%. Even if the season isn’t good.

Comic book character: Cassandra Nova

This writer wanted Lily Rabe to play Karla Sofen a.k.a. Moonstone. That character was an evil woman before she became a supervillain. She was a psychiatrist who talked people into killing themselves. One of the more disgusting things this writer has seen in comic books. However, there is a possibility that Zawe Ashton will play her in The Marvels. If that’s true, then there’s another evil character that Rabe could play: Charles Xavier’s sister Cassandra Nova.

Cassandra Nova is one of the most powerful villains the X-Men have ever faced. During her run, she turned the Shi’ar empire against mutants, had Beast believe he was more animal than human, and made Gladiator cry. Nova’s telepathy, ability to exploit people’s weaknesses, and evil looks are things that Lily Rabe would excel at. Marvel Studios should book this.
