The Flash season 9 is not coming to The CW in November 2022

The wait for The Flash season 9 will continue for another month as the final season of The CW’s superhero drama is not coming in November 2022.

Dark days are ahead for fans of the Arrowverse which is nearing its end after what has been a truly incredible run on The CW as The Flash prepares to sign off the airwaves following a truly incredible run.

After nine seasons, The Flash will be joining its fellow Arrowverse dramas as it heads off into the sunset. Fortunately, the series will have the chance to wrap up the storylines the writers have been building toward over the last nine seasons.

Although the series has long been a staple of The CW’s fall lineup, this year, the network opted to hold the show for midseason which means we didn’t see the new season kick off in October and won’t see the new season debut in November either.

The Flash season 9 release date predictions

At this time, no release date for the final season of The Flash has been confirmed but we do know the final season will be coming in early 2023. This means we should see the new season arrive sometime between January and March, and it’s most likely that season 9 will arrive in the final month of that window of time.

Season 7 of The Flash arrived in early March and March was also when season 8 kicked off following the show’s 5-episode event which aired in the fall. This seems to be a month that The CW tends to kick off its midseason line-up, so it’s incredibly likely we could see The Flash season 9 held until the beginning of March.

Last season saw the show moving to Wednesday nights, so if The CW keeps the show on Wednesdays it’s possible we could see season 9 kick off on March 1 or March 8, 2023.
